Linux avr-gcc v4.5.1 and Ethernet shield bug

Hi there,

I had an issue with the arduino ethernet shield (W5100), I always had strange behavior, the communication with the arduino was completely broken. Packets where malformed.

it took me hours to find the solution, it's a known bug in the ethernet library, here's the bugreport. Hope it'll help someone.
